A talented Uruguayan artist visits Casa Búho to teach a painting workshop where moms and kids learn a new technique together.
Monday afternoon was great. Taking advantage of Cecilia’s presence in town — a very talented woman who loves to paint — we decided to invite her to visit Casa Búho and share her techniques and knowledge with us. And luckily she said yes. At first, we thought about working only with the kids, but a super idea came to us: invite the owl moms to paint! And so we did.

Moms and kids arrived and everyone was excited for Cecilia’s class. As we got settled, each person grabbed their materials and chose colors. When the workshop began, everyone paid attention to the instructions and comments of this Uruguayan artist who has already done some work for Casa Búho.

The afternoon was super hot, with a full room, we opened every window we could to let in a breeze to cool us off. Although, it must be noted that the heat did not get in the way of the enthusiasm for continuing to paint and create. Kids and owl moms sitting around a long table for an hour and a half not only learned a new painting technique but also shared time with other women, and through art, some moms told us they were able to channel emotions and thoughts. The background music helped a lot too.
Thank you all for such a beautiful moment!
And we close this post with good news: the workshop will be held again this week. So soon there will be more details about this cycle of art sessions at Casa Búho.
